Cucumber Raita

Fresh cut cucumber goes really well with freshly whipped yogurt. By adding some basic spices & serving the combo chilled you can do a quick and healthy recipe we call as "Cucumber Raita". Goes really well with all Indian curries as a side dish or can be had as a fresh alternative to salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g FRUGURT Dahi (Unsweetened Plain Yogurt) - 2 cups

  • 1 cucumber 

  • 2 tsp dry mint leaves

  • 1 Green Chilli

  • 1/4 tsp black salt

  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder

  • Few sprigs Coriander leaves

  • Pinch of Sugar

Serves: 3 | Total Time: 30 minutes

METHOD

  • Wash and grate the cucumber. You can finely chop the cucumber as well. No need to peel the skin.

  • Chop the Chilli and coriander finely. 

  • In a mixing bowl, add FRUGURT Dahi,black salt, cumin powder and sugar. Mix well.  

  • Now add the grated/chopped cucumbers and the coriander leaves. 

  • Mix all the ingredients well.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve chilled.
